Lyrah Shares New Single ‘Sorry CVS’

San Francisco-based singer, songwriter, and producer Lyrah unveils her brand new single ‘Sorry CVS’.

Born Kathleen Warner, the talented songstress initially started composing for other acts. Currently, she is tilting towards a solitary career, making music and being independent. Warner, who crafts dark indie pop tunes, also enjoys creating soundtracks that one could hold on to for a long time.

Back then, as a kid aged 3, Warner’s parents encouraged her by setting up home piano sessions. Many years after, the tough lessons paid off. Lyrah eventually debuted with ‘Don’t Make Me’ in November 2018 — a song she shaped during a lonely piano night. Months later, Kathleen collaborated with Chicago native disc jockey Goldhouse for the remix.

Citing the likes of Trent Reznor and Sylvan Esso as influences, Kath has her sound set side by side with Grammy-nominated Halsey and folk trio Daughter. Lyrah’s most recent release, ‘Sorry CVS,’ portrays cancer, an unlawful healthcare system, and embezzling peanut m&ms from CVS. Production credits: Nick Booth, Jon Wienner, Benji Cormack, and herself.

I wrote this song with my brother shortly after his diagnosis” admits Lyrah. “It made us laugh while we wrote it. We (also) took some ineffective life events and turned it into a cheeky little banger.
