Siimee Is Destroying Systematic Racism, One Person at a Time

Rhett Lindsey left his six-figure earnings behind to develop a method that made recruiting process much more inclusive, equal and diversified.

Despite being a gay black man in the tech industry, Rhett Lindsey faced many judgments and racist behavior in the tech recruiting industry and was never invited into the decision-making process. He is a former Facebook and Tinder recruiter currently taking Silicon Valley by storm through his newly developed app.

A system that accepts people based on their talent and merits is a must to attain equality in the world. Your skin color can never be a reason to be denied a job. Due to this, mixed and black people face a lot of trouble with their finances. We keep hearing instances where black people are often pulled over by cops or arrest for false charges. These things happen only because the society and the white supreme mentality people promote it. But times are surely change. We are witnessing protests, and people are ready to be vocal about this venom of society that has been thriving for centuries.

Thanks to Rhett, we are noticing an effective change in the recruitment industry, and the process has become less evil. Siimee (see-mee) is a fresh recruiting platform that focuses on the merits and creates opportunities for those who are worthy of the job without noticing their skin, race, or gender. It is design to help people to find jobs and even serves useful for recruiters. People from all walks of life have been hire, and the app has become a new favorite in the industry.

In one of his recent interviews, Rhett shared the inspiration behind this smart work of his, which many companies appreciate. He said he wanted to do something about the gap that job seekers experience who were happy with just getting a call from a big brand company, let alone hired. A series of events and personal experiences with racism, in general. Inspired him to give in the papers and resign purely out of faith. He resigned from his six-figure highly compensated job at the biggest social media platform Facebook. And this was the beginning of the revolution that also Rhett had always planed in his mind. Bidding his goodbyes to the comfort and also  security the job provided. And moving to a space where he had the freedom to make people like him feel good.
