Talking about himself, JJ Finesser mentioned that also his music is influenced by 90’s music. The Golden Era in which he grew up. He noted that his music is a style that captures and preserves the real essence, quality, and also principles of Hip-Hop.
And He describes himself as a real Hip-Hop emcee, and among his biggest inspirations are A Tribe Called Quest, Static Major, Big L, and Black Star.
He calls himself a student of the rap game and a real Hip Hop emcee representing other real hip-hop emcees like Big L, KRS-One, Mos Def/Yasiin Bey, and Grand Puba.
According to him, so many rappers sound the same. And creativity in the rap genre has been reduced. With his unique style of music, JJ Finesser wants to add value to the science and art of Hip-Hop. He believes he is the only artist that can make his style of music since he had studied the basics of the science of Hip-Hop from the Greatest Emcees ever.
His music is not without purpose too. The Classic OG has stated that the purpose of his music is to influence and inspire upcoming artists. And future generations to study the art and science of Hip-Hop so they can perfect their craft and leave their mark on Hip-Hop.
