Leeds very own singer-songwriter Jeff Christie, makes waves with single ‘One in a Million.’
Born in Yorkshire, Jeff Christie started his musical path at a very young age, 13 years, to be precise. As time went on, in 1970, Jeff gained international fame with the release of ‘Yellow River’; a global hit that topped the charts in 26 countries. In addition to selling over 30 million copies worldwide, it is safe to say he is an icon in the music space. Over the course of his career, Jeff has performed with legendary artists such as Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. He has also received the Ivor Novello Award, one of the most prestigious awards in the field of songwriting.
Aside from his newly-debut solo line, Jeff Christie is known as the frontman of the English soft rock band Christie. Since its formation in 1965, they achieved international acclaim for their distinctive sound. Beyond ‘Yellow River,’ Jeff’s songwriting prowess has led to his work being recorded by artists like R.E.M., Cliff Richard and the great Elton John.
On Jeff Christie’s release ‘One in a Million’, the 4-minute song embodies his signature rock-pop sound fused with modern influences. ‘One in a Million’ is the third song off his 13-track album ‘Here & Now.’ The project was unveiled to the world last September via the label imprint and management company MTS Records. It also offers a glimpse into the depth and diversity, promising a fresh yet familiar listening experience for fans.
