Born outside Pennsylvania’s largest city Philadelphia and raised in Boston suburbia, whilst growing up, Lorelei found people who sang and performed music really attractive. Marcell also developed interest in musical activities like choir class, school musical and open mic sessions.
Since her inception, the Gladwyne native has indeed shaped a noteworthy brand for herself. In 2019, Lorelei Marcell dropped her official debut piece ‘Losing Myself’. A few songs like ‘The Truth’ and ‘Summertime High’ succeeded. The following 2020, oversaw ‘Dreamin About You’, ‘Eyes Closed’ along with Embody’s remix. By 2021, she compiled a self-titled extended play and shared ‘Perfect’, ‘Billion Reasons’ and ‘Your Biggest Fan’.
This year: ‘Human Nature (So Wylie Remix)’, ‘Need Me’, ‘Masterpiece’ with the Ground Mess, ‘Nothing Hurts Better’ and sophomore 6-track EP ‘Stranger’. Signed to Word Wall Productions, she put out ‘Antisocial’, ‘Bittersweet Stages’ and her latest ‘Love Me Back (Maybe Next Year)’. Produced by John Samuel Gerhart, the 3-minute indie pop song, depicts self love, hope and confidence.
Quotable lyrics:
“Maybe next year.. I’ll have someone who feels like home.. And I won’t spend the nights alone.. Waiting around out in the cold.. Maybe next year.. I’ll be so far from what we had.. With a love that’ll love me back.. But right now this heartaches all I have”
