Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion just got another win in her defamation case against Milagro Gramz, a blogger. Megan’s full judgment states Milagro will pay the rapper a total of $75,000.
The judgment against the blogger in the defamation case of Megan Thee Stallion did reveal Tory Lanez had paid Milagro to write stories.
FEUD WITH TORY LANEZ
The ruling is one of the most significant rulings so far. In the 2020 case of the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion by rapper Tory Lanez (Daystar Peterson), the judge finds the evidence of their collusion credible.
In 2024, Megan Thee Stallion did file a lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper, accusing her of cyberstalking and defamation. The lawsuit stems from the July 2020 shooting in which Tory Lanez shoots Megan. The female rapper also alleged that Cooper had been posting false stories about the shooting on the internet.
The lawsuit also alleged that Cooper shared an AI-generated sex tape of Megan Thee Stallion. The self-proclaimed ‘Hot Girl Coach’ said the actions have caused her severe emotional distress. The suit also alleged that Cooper serves as Lanez’s spokesperson on a variety of social media sites. Megan has accused the blogger of using the platforms to spread false claims about her.
District court Judge Cecilia Altonaga reduced the damages award from $75,000 to $59,000. The decision comes after the dropping of the lawsuit against the blogger. The court found that the blogger qualifies as a media defendant under Florida law. The judge dismissed the defamation claims in the lawsuit as well. The court rules Megan fails to provide notice prior to filing the lawsuit.
That is to say, at this juncture, only emotional distress and the harms done by the use of deepfakes could be enforced against Cooper. However, in May 2026, Judge Altonaga made another judgment, reinstating the $16,000 compensation for defamation that she had earlier rejected.
FINAL RULING
Megan Thee Stallion’s reasoning was that there was enough proof that Cooper was indeed mimicking Tory Lanez and his entire family when issuing defamations against Megan. According to her, all the facts in the case pointed to her fully reinstating the verdict from the jury trial. She helped Megan to get her total $75,000 compensation. Thoughts?
