MOMARZ has just dropped six songs from his forthcoming album “THE THEORY”. The new project represents a sharp turn from conventional music-making practices, transforming the word theory from an academic discipline to a subjective one. Each song stands alone as a piece of art and not something that follows any predetermined formula.
Where Classical Meets Electronic
It is the way “THE THEORY” effortlessly unites polar opposites that makes the collection of songs stand out. MOMARZ relies on his background in classical piano and incorporates it into his energetic electronic production.
For years, the musician explored various electronic music genres until he made a breakthrough by reintroducing piano to his core palette. This change brought about a revolution in how he composes music; melodies become the centerpiece, with production building upon them. The level of craftsmanship displayed throughout “THE THEORY” is evident even in its unorthodox track construction. It is not about ignoring the basics; rather, it is all about applying them selectively and bending rules where needed.
Designing a Listener Experience
“THE THEORY” features much more than just MOMARZ’s signature sound. The sequencing of the tracks on this preview is well thought out; there are smooth transitions from one mood to another without compromising the pace. On the one hand, there are tracks full of high-energy, rhythmic beats, and some tend to be more atmospheric and cinematic.
Such a contrast allows for a unique combination of personal and energetic experiences. In addition, despite the difference between the tracks, their essence remains the same: each piece should create a particular emotion in the listener, a sense of uplift and inspiration.
Looking Beyond the Instrumental
“THE THEORY” is an instrumental release yet to be finished. The full project is expected to drop on May 28th, with much more on the horizon. MOMARZ is already venturing into new territory, including vocal additions, which may help him develop further. “THE THEORY” represents both a milestone and a new beginning.
