Travis Finlay is back with his latest song, ‘Only One,’ which is a contemporary R&B song about the connection of love and soul. The song arrived on DSPs on May 1, 2026, through VYBWAV RECORDS in partnership with Evo Music and distributed by The Orchard. There is even an accompanied official music video that has been shot in Brooklyn, New York. With its mid-tempo beats, it features the distinctive vocal timbre of Finlay along with its production.

Raised in Miramar, Florida, and Long Island, New York, Travis Finlay starts out in church music and then moves on to gospel, soul, pop, and R&B. At nine years old, he makes his first album titled Jesus = Love and later gains nationwide fame in American Idol, through which he earns three golden tickets in Season 14 and later makes it to the Top 40 in Season 18. Travis Finlay’s other musical ventures include co-writing the No. 1 Gospel Airplay Song ‘Speak,’ performed by Angel Taylor, on Billboard.

Song Review: ‘Only One’ by Travis Finlay focuses on the certainty associated with knowing what you want from a relationship. “It’s all about when you know exactly what you want, when you really feel it: nothing else matters,” says Finlay. This concept captures listeners in a sensual R&B experience, complemented by visuals that bring out more of the performance aspect of it. Shot in various places around Brooklyn, like DUMBO, the outside of Juliana’s Pizza, and a private studio, the music video also features a rising R&B singer, Kendallislate.
